Factory TEAM RACING
Endurance Factory Racing (EFR) specializes in providing unique racing opportunities to Wichita and surrounding communities.
We are glad you are here. Here at The Endurance Factory it is a family affair. Over the last few years we have been changing what The Endurance Factory (or Factoy for short) means to you. Not to long ago the Factory was your one stop shop for coaching in all things endurance related. But wanting to spend more time together as a family we have been transitioning to hosting events.
Big Ring Gravel was first raced in 2002. One of the oldest gravel races around it lives on today under our care.
The Enduro is a new creative take on what gravel racing can be. Fun, challenging, and competitive for all.
Welcome to Endurance Factory Racing!
As a youth he was a competitive swimmer and won several medals at the local and regional level. In high school he gave up swimming to pursue baseball, where he helped his team to have one of the best seasons in their history. He did not compete in athletics while attending Wichita State University.
Many years later, looking to get back into shape, he came across the sport of triathlon. Quickly gaining success, Lovgren qualified for the Ironman 70.3 World Championships at his first half Ironman distance. After having a disappointing showing at Worlds due to improper hydration, Lovgren started educating himself. Lovgren has since found success at all distance triathlons. Building on that success he transition over to gravel racing. Finding a new passion for the sport of gravel grinders.
Lovgren first started coaching career as a volunteer coach for the Andover YMCA triathlon club. After seeing a need to take the program beyond the YMCA’s commitment, he cofounded the Wichita Triathlon Team. Lovgren has had tremendous success thus far in his coaching career. Since founding WTT in 2012, he has coached hundreds of first time athletes to swim, bike, and run. Many of his athletes have gone on to find success of their own, medaling at local and regional events. Now it is time for the next step. Enter The Endurance Factory! Having many years as the areas most successful group training program, Lovgren is looking to change The Endurance Factory into Endurance Factory Racing. As the race director for the Big Ring Gravel and The Enduro, Lovgren is looking to put his own unique stamp on gravel racing.
Lovgren is the head-coach for the Newman University Triathlon Team. Still as Kansas’s first and only collegiate triathlon team. Lovgren is excited for the possibilities this holds for Wichita’s triathlon community.
Off the field, Lovgren enjoys working in his garage on various automobile and wood working projects. He is supported at home by his wife and son, Jennifer and Jackson, and their dog Oliver. Lovgren has been an Eagle scout since 1999.
